Arrival & Security Screening

Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time with your Application Receipt printout, original documents, and two sets of self-attested photocopies. Electronic security screening will check you in and issue a printed Token Number.

Counter A: Digital Biometrics & Document Scanning

Operated by service partner personnel (TCS). Here, your live digital passport photograph is taken, all ten fingerprints are digitally scanned, and original documents are scanned into the MEA server. You will review your personal data on a dedicated dual screen before signing.

Counter B: Senior Verification Officer (Government Official)

A gazetted government verification officer physically examines your original documents, cross-matches your Non-ECR proof and date of birth certificate, and approves your file.

Counter C: Granting Officer (Decision Maker)

The Granting Officer makes the final administrative decision on your application, determining whether the passport is granted under pre-police verification, post-police verification, or put on hold for missing papers.

Exit Clearance & Acknowledgement Receipt

At the exit counter, you will receive an Acknowledgement Receipt detailing your file reference number and police verification status.
